CORONAVIRUS STATUS UPDATE: From January 2021there are 5 ships sailing the Norwegian coastal voyage route for local access and freight transport.  The size and scale of Hurtigruten’s tourism restart is dependent on national and international travel restrictions, government support and other external factors outside of Hurtigruten’s control. As of 03/08/2020 Hurtigruten has temporarily suspended all expedition sailings only on MS Roald Amundsen, MS Fridtjof Nansen and MS Spitsbergen until further notice. All Antarctica expedition sailings departing in Winter 2020-21 are also cancelled. Read further information in relation to Covid-19 and cruising with Hurtigruten, visiting Norway and flying to Norway.

Hurtigruten plans to restart expedition cruises in early 2021 with even stricter Covid-19 measures in place. This will include testing for all guests. Expedition cruises will only recommence where and when they believe it is safe. They will make decisions on each individual voyage, and update all booked guests on any changes.
